My Favorite Places to Be In Fandom (at the moment)

...in no particular order:

• fabu: PotC. I got drawn in by her Jack/Will/Elizabeth fic, but she has awesome meta going on there, as well as other fics and recs.


• kerryblaze: HP. I never thought I'd be able to read (and like) H/R stuff, but man her fic is hot! I heartily recommend Mission Accomplished.


• inell: HP. As always, one of my favorite authors! She has a new Viktor/Hermione out, and it's adorable: Forever. She also does semi-regular rec lists that are amazing, and (I almost forgot to mention this, Bad Cor!) occasionally writes Twins/Hermione (Clever Mischief is her latest embarking on this fun path).


• bugchicklv: Firefly/Serenity, among others. She has amazing Rayne fic!


• emmagrant01: HP. Slash. Most recently she's posted The Slasher's Guide to Rome. She's also the founder of slashcast. I heartily recommend Left My Heart and its sequel Surrender the Grey Both are H/D, postwar, and definitely rated Adult, though they are multi-chaptered and have definite plots.


• clever_mischief: HP. I'd best let the info page do the talking here: "clever_mischief is a joint writing project between rose_whispers and inell. This is a multi-chapter Hermione/Fred/George fic project, with various ratings from general to adult. The story is illustrated by odyssey01." It. Is. Wonderful.


• peahopelessvfic: V for Vendetta. This comm actually revolves around the fic of one author, peahopeless, whose work is housed here. It's wonderful stuff, and I strongly suggest that if you've seen the movie you read her stuff. If you haven't seen the movie, well, it's out on DVD in less than a month!


• slashcast: Mainly HP. As you might guess from the name, Slashcast is a podcast dedicated to slash. There's meta discussion, fandom discussion, GLBT news, and more. Perfect to listen to on a drive...well, anywhere.


• fanfic100 and ff100_updates. If you haven't heard of Fanfic100, it's a challenge: you claim your... whatever, be it a pairing, a threesome, an entire cast, or even just a single character, and then you write 100 fics about your claim. There's so much going on at fanfic100 that it has its own update-gathering community, ff100_updates. There you can see 1-3 posts a day that have gathered all the updates since the previous post, and every ff100 story is individually linked, categorized by fandom and then claim.


• fanficrants: As the name implies, fanficrants is a place to rant about fanfic and, occasionally, fandom. Rants range the gamut, from HP to Sailor Moon to anything. I've not seen much RPS, but that's about it. Ranting is the point of the comm, but flamewars are not. It's a (relatively) safe place to vent your frustration, and once in a while there are even recs for good fic!


• katara_zuko: Avatar. Obviously, for Katara/Zuko fic and art.


• zukogetslaid: Avatar. The name of the comm pretty much says it all. The point of the comm is to get Prince Zuko laid. Or not, if it's done right! *grin*


• potcot3: PotC. Will/Jack/Elizabeth fic. It's not exactly bustling, but it's got some good stuff.
